Types of Growth Funds

Growth funds are typically group into three categories

Large Cap

Mid Cap

Small Cap

Large Cap

Large-cap as it is named large capital had a growth of mutual funds that are one of the largest types of mutual funds in terms of market share. Large-blend funds, which offer investors value and growth, are also very popular.

Mid Cap

Mid-cap (or mid-capitalization) is a Growth Fund of companies with a market cap (capitalization)—or market value—between $2 and $10 billion. As the name implies, a mid-cap company falls in the middle between large-cap (or big-cap) and small-cap companies.

Small Cap

Small-cap (or mid-capitalization) is a Growth Fund of companies with a market cap (capitalization)—or market value—below $2 billion. As the name implies, a small-cap company falls below mid-cap.
